Parent Cafe

Partnering with Community Umbrella Agencies (CUAs) across the city, Parent Cafés are safe spaces where participants talk about the challenges and victories of raising a family.

Through both self-reflection and learning from one another, participants explore their strengths, learn about the Protective Factors (parental resilience, social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, concrete support in times of need and social, and emotional competence of children) that keep families safe and supported in the midst of difficult times, and create strategies from their own experiences to strengthen their families. Cafe themes may be aligned to school goals and/or family concerns.

Target Audience: Parents and families of students in all grades
