Welcome to Dads of Great Students Home of the WATCH D.O.G.S.® Program ~ Established 1998 The Dads of Great Students WATCH D.O.G.S.® program is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations designed and developed by educators, experts and parent & guardian volunteers over more than two decades. Our programs for Elementary and Secondary School campuses help provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. Meanwhile, we provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security, reduce bullying and provide a greater sense of campus safety allowing students and teachers to focus on learning and instruction. We provide training content, support materials, uniform apparel and other promotional items for your campus community. Our mission is to support principals and teachers by providing willing volunteers while contributing to improved outcomes for students. Who are Watch D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students)? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures serve on campus for one day or many each year under the leadership of a program coordinator and under the guidance of a school principal or designated administrator. Our program speaks directly to those care-givers and guardians who are statistically less likely to come onto campus to volunteer.

Parent Cafe Partnering with Community Umbrella Agencies (CUAs) across the city, Parent Cafés are safe spaces where participants talk about the challenges and victories of raising a family. Through both self-reflection and learning from one another, participants explore their strengths, learn about the Protective Factors (parental resilience, social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, concrete support in times of need and social, and emotional competence of children) that keep families safe and supported in the midst of difficult times, and create strategies from their own experiences to strengthen their families. Cafe themes may be aligned to school goals and/or family concerns. Target Audience: Parents and families of students in all grades

Elevate the power of girlhood with our "Empowering Girls Lunch Bunch" at Clover Street School & JFK. Led by our dedicated Upper Elementary Family Resource Coordinators, this special gathering focuses on the Social Awareness component of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Competency. Join us in fostering a supportive environment where young girls can connect, share, and grow together. The Empowering Girls Lunch Bunch aims to enhance their social awareness, encouraging empathy, communication, and understanding of others' perspectives. Through engaging activities, discussions, and mentorship, our Upper Elementary Family Resource Coordinators are dedicated to nurturing strong, confident, and socially aware young leaders. This initiative is not just about lunch; it's a space where girls can develop lifelong skills, form lasting friendships, and discover the incredible potential within themselves. Have Questions?
